Parthenon is a temple of the Greek goddess Athena, whom the people of Athens considered their protector.It is the most important surviving building of Classical Greece, generally considered to be the culmination of the development of the Doric order. Its decorative sculptures are considered some of the high points of Greek art.

This civic Roman temple was built by Agrippa, who died in 12 B.C. It was then dedicated to his two sons, Caius and Lucius, heirs of Augustus who both died very young. It shows the allegiance and loyalty of the Roman colony to the imperial dynasty. It stands on the short south side of the forum, which it dominates resting on a podium which is nearly 3 metres (10 feet) high. It was built of local limestone, but without a doubt the architect and workmen came from Rome.
Romans seem likes to borrow for their own purposes but they modified it in their innovative ways.The Roman architects often relied upon Greek architects for help in constructing arches and hydraulics. High number of Roman copies of Greek art also speaks of the esteem Roman artists had for Greek art, and perhaps of its rarer and higher quality. Many of the art forms and methods used by the Romans—such as high and low relief, free-standing sculpture, bronze casting, vase art, mosaic, cameo, coin art, fine jewelry and metalwork, funerary sculpture, perspective drawing, caricature, genre and portrait painting,landscape painting, architectural sculpture, and trompe l’oeil painting—all were developed or refined by Ancient Greek artist. It is romans just lazy to create their own architecture or they wanted to innovate the greeks architecture with the advance technology??? It is on your own perception.............
